dreaming of africa

a while back we decided to have a little photo session to document the wait for our little man. our plan was to use these photos to announce our adoption to our extended family and provide a reminder for us to pray for Amos. we enlisted to help of our lovely and talented friend Maurie Bratcher, who is a jewel for doing this for us. she is a beautiful person, inside + out and the girl knows how to put pen to paper (or keyboard to blog??) over at http://www.onesinglevoice.com/. check it out!

so I thought I would share some of our favs here. one, because i love them and what they represent and two, who doesn't love some pics!

this little chair + blocks sits in our entry. we found these little gems at a few of our favorite antique stores in the area...we are junk shoppers + love anything vintage + love a bargain + enjoy re-purposing!  it is a happy reminder of our son in the house. i love it!

i'd love to take another pic just like this with a certain someone's little hiney sitting in it instead of those blocks! one day, one day.

and this last pic. i laughed out loud when I scrolled through these images for the first time. it's a pretty accurate depiction of tanner's personality, joking around, always! he makes life fun!

  1. Thank you for the sweet words, Kendra! Loved taking these pics, loved seeing them again and can't wait to take some with Amos in them...and that last pic of Tanner is just the best.
